Over the last three decades I have consistently admired the work of Vicente Wolf. Each time I saw an original and elegant solution to restrained contemporary design in a publication, it was, predictably, Vicente’s.
As the scale of our work grew I began to think about other designers with bodies of work I admired, in hopes of engaging them to help us create new guest experiences at Wynn Las Vegas. Vicente’s was the first name on my list.
The result of our first collaboration was SW Steakhouse, the most successful restaurant (among a total of 15) in our inaugural Wynn Resort project.
The partnership has since been extended to dream up beautiful creations for the Wynn Cotai Palace in Macau and for the Wynn Boston Harbor, currently under construction.
My team and I at Wynn Design had the honor of refreshing the soft finishes in Vicente’s iconic SW Steakhouse at Wynn Las Vegas. Vicente’s design is so enduring that his design’s “bones” were left fully intact and the colors in the room simply renewed.
One of an occasional series spotlighting key collaborators who have played special roles in the overall success of the work of myself and the rest of my team at Wynn Design & Development.
