Wynn Palace Cotai opens in Macao. 1,706 rooms. Collaborators include Todd-Avery Lenahan, Vicente Wolf, David Rockwell and Preston Bailey. “It raised the bar on Macao’s five-star luxury scene by more than a few notches,” London’s Telegraph reports.
New or expanded collections for Koroseal, SICIS, S. Harris, Speakman, Samuel & Sons, Boyd. New residential designs for relaunch of Quintus.

Wynn Resorts wins approval for new resort in Massachusetts, Roger’s latest design. The New Yorker reports the planned resort will feature a mix of “vacation-lodge vocabulary” of fireplaces and wooden beams with a passion for eighteenth century France.
Architectural Digest names Roger to the AD100 for the fourth time.

Design begins as work gets underway on Wynn Palace in Cotai zone in Macau, a $3.6 billion+ project, scheduled to open in early 2016.

Wynn Resorts sells Bellagio.
1998
Wynn Resorts opens Bellagio, a $1.6 billion resort that was the most expensive hotel in the world. It changed the balance of the Las Vegas industry, with non-casino revenue surpassing gaming revenue for the first time.

Wynn opens swashbuckler-themed Treasure Island.
1989
Wynn, working with Roger, opens tropical-themed The Mirage resort and hotels, kicking off new era of major themed resorts.
1980
Steve Wynn, a family friend, asks Roger to help design a proposed major resort for Las Vegas, the first in 25 years.
1974
Begins designing interiors for banks and other financial institutions, working for Yates-Silverman Inc.
1973
Graduates with BFA in Art History from Tufts University in Medford, MA, in partnership with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Trained in painting, sculpture, textiles, metalsmithing and ceramics.
1969
Graduates high school at Interlochen Arts Academy, the noted boarding school in northwestern Michigan. Focused on ceramics, metalwork, weaving.
