A very favorite museum in Paris is the Museé Nissim de Camondo, a part of the Museé des Arts Décoratifs. Its location on the Parc Monceau makes it both beautifully situated, with garden views, and never crowded.
Exhibiting the most important private collection of 18th century French furnishings and decorative objects of royal provenance, its rooms are sumptuous, filled with some of the finest pieces of furniture ever crafted.
The family history behind this collection and its grand setting is one of wealth and privilege, and of national sacrifices which ended in betrayal by the Vichy Government. Details to follow.
